Hi everyone ~
Today is my turn to post on the a2zscrapbooking Blog ~
Summertime is such a fun time of the year! Sunshine, blue skies and longer days to enjoy at the beach are just a few reasons to love it. Adding to the beauty of the season, are butterflies in all colors and sizes, so it’s no surprise that I was inspired to reach for my Hero Arts Butterfly & Flower stamp and Die Set to create my first card.

I stamped the butterfly in Memento ink and used Copic markers to color it in. Then, I embossed the background with Swiss Dots, leaving the center oval un-embossed to stamp the sentiment from the Remember stamp set. Lastly, I cut the white panel down 1/8 inch on each side, added a black border and die cut the small butterflies to match.
--------------------------------------------------------

For my second card, I blended my Hero Arts Shadow inks on the Feathers Stencil in three different colors, arranging the same feather as though it is cascading downward. Just as I did for  the first card, I trimmed the white panel down and added a black border. Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Liquid Platinum and added a few DIY enamel dots. If you would like to know how to create your own enamel dots, please leave me a note in the comments on this post, and I would be happy to get back to you about it.

Wowza! These are both unbelievable gorgeous Barb, but the first one with the butterfly just takes my breath away! You colored is so beautifully and I love the way you embossed the background, but left the oval for the sentiment. I have seen how to do that, but now have forgotten. Have to look that up! Very neat technique! Beautiful work my friend! I hope you have a lovely week!((Hugs))
